Royston Drenthe announces move to Liverpool via Facebook
Update: Despite reports from papers, this one has turned out to be sham. The announcement was not from Drenthe’s official Facebook page.
Roy Hodgson has really done well since he has taken charge of Liverpool, and he seems to have pulled another coup by signing Real Madrid’s pacy Dutch defender and winger Royston Drenthe. Though Liverpool have not yet announced the terms of the transfer, Drenthe announced “I will soon be joining Liverpool FC. Hope I will have a good season there :)” on his official Facebook page.
Beyond the ridiculous nature of this announcement, which, for me, trumps the several announcements like this that have appeared on Twitter, this is yet another great signing for Liverpool, who lost Emiliano Insua to Fiorentina for £5m just a few days ago. What are your thoughts on the news?
